PEEBLES triathlete Iain Veitch has picked up more medals to add to his impressive haul.
On Sunday September 10 he won the Peebles Duathlon setting a new course record of 63.21 minutes, finishing almost four minutes ahead of second placed Dylan Theedam Parry. Milan Misak was third.

Then two weeks later on Sunday September 24 he won the Peebles Triathlon setting a new course record of 59.07, beating second placed Samuel Woods by more than five minutes.
Euan Marshall finished in third place.
That meant he has won the overall Borders Triathlon series.

He said: “I’d like to mention what a fantastic job the organisers do with these races and in particular the Peebles event.
“Saturdays ‘come and tri’ and Junior events are the perfect introduction to newcomers and young athletes.
“Sunday’s event is really well run by Live Borders and the Peebles pool staff which is reflected by the number of people it brings into the town over the weekend.”
