THE Borders has recorded 28 new cases of coronavirus over the last 24 hours, new data shows.
Updated figures were published by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (July 15).
Today's figures are considerably lower than those released yesterday which reported 60 cases in 24 hours.
According to the data, the Borders has now recorded 4,184 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
There remain eight people in hospital in the region with recently confirmed cases of the virus, the updated figures show.
Scotland has now seen 323,288 cases of coronavirus, according to the updated figures.
