A BAKER from Peebles threatened to burn his former partner's house and assault her new boyfriend, Selkirk Sheriff Court has been told.
Thirty-eight-year-old Jason Leslie lost his temper when his ex told him who she was now seeing.
He became abusive in her home in Kittiegarrie Road, Peebles, on the evening of October 27 and also phoned the new partner and made various threats towards him.
Defence lawyer Mat Patrick said the offence took place during the course of one day more than eight months ago and was not a continued course of behaviour.
Leslie was fined £300 and ordered to pay a £20 Victim Surcharge.
